Come December, Palm Beach’s iconic Hamburger Heaven will be reopen across the Intracoastal in new digs at 1 N. Clematis St. The haute to homey move was forced by a dispute with the downtown Palm Beach building’s landlord, which in June ended the casual café’s string of 65 years in business. The new space will be double the size of the old one, but will still feature all the old comfort food faves, albeit with a water view.
Same location but a new focus and (coming soon) a new name for Royal Palm Place’s Saquella Café (410 Via De Palmas, 561/338-8840). The Mediterranean-esque eatery has ramped up its operation to a more formal dinner menu that includes more white tablecloth-y décor as well as dishes like roasted cauliflower with lavender-mustard vinaigrette and grilled swordfish with artichoke cream sauce. Look for a full bar and name change to Prosecco Café (the name of its Palm Beach Gardens sibling) in the near future.
