Get your running shoes on, folks. The season is heating up, despite the so-far lack of out-of-state license plates on the road. We’ll take the season without the traffic, but I have yet to see that happen. Here are some events happening soon that have “do it!” written all over them. On your mark, get set…
Pumpkin Smash at City Tap boasts pumpkin beers, pumpkin menu
CityPlace’s newest restaurant on tap, City Tap House, is having its first annual Pumpkin Smash on Oct. 22, starting at 11 a.m. This means more than 25 pumpkin beers, along with dishes from Chef Brian Stevenson (pictured) such as pumpkin and kale salad, and fried pumpkin, and pumpkin and burattae bruschetta (yum!), and pumpkin gnocchi, and pumpkin cheesecake.
There’s also a 200-pound Great Pumpkin Cask, where you drink pumpkin beer from a pumpkin. Pumpkin overload, and pumpkin fans love it.
