Pumpkin Smash at City Tap, Whiskey and Cigar Pairing at The Cooper

Get your running shoes on, folks. The season is heating up, despite the so-far lack of out-of-state license plates on the road. Pumpkin Smash at City Tap boasts pumpkin beers, pumpkin menu

CityPlace’s newest restaurant on tap, City Tap House, is having its first annual Pumpkin Smash on Oct. 22, starting at 11 a.m. This means more than 25 pumpkin beers, along with dishes from Chef Brian Stevenson (pictured) such as pumpkin and kale salad, and fried pumpkin, and pumpkin and burattae bruschetta (yum!), and pumpkin gnocchi, and pumpkin cheesecake.

There’s also a 200-pound Great Pumpkin Cask, where you drink pumpkin beer from a pumpkin. Pumpkin overload, and pumpkin fans love it.

Redemption Rye, Ashton Cigar pairing dinner at The Cooper

Take some award-winning whiskey, add hand-rolled cigars, throw in a four-course dinner, and you’ve got yourself a great night. This is what you’ll get at The Cooper (4610 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens; 561/622-0032) on Oct. 27, starting at 6:30 p.m. For $99 per person (excluding tax/gratuity), you’ll taste Redemption Rye’s line that includes Whiskey, bourbon, high rye bourbon, and high rye 9-year bourbon. The menu from Chef Adam Brown promises crispy pork belly, BBQ braised brisket, fried chicken, whole roasted suckling pig and a cheese course to end it all. Seating is limited; reservations required.
