Qualk Named Woman Volunteer of Year

The Junior League of Boca Raton celeb
rated charitable contributions of women throughout south Palm Beach County at its 23rd annual Woman Volunteer of the Year luncheon Friday at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.

More than 30 ladies were nominated for their outstanding work in the community-but the afternoon’s top honor went to Brooke Qualk of the Children’s Place at Home Safe.

Qualk, who spent 15 years with Home Safe, was recognized for her tireless work on behalf of the organization that provides hope and care for children who have been physically and/or sexually abused, children who have been abandoned or neglected, orphans, and children with HIV/AIDS. In addition to leading several fundraising events, she has helped to create successful programs for Home Safe and its children.

Friday’s event, which drew approximately 1,000 attendees, was presented by Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation and included a fashion show by Saks Fifth Avenue.
