Man does not live by burgers alone, even at haute hamburger purveyor Relish(401 Northwood Rd., 561/629-5377), where a dozen different kinds of princely patties (from black bean to wild boar) can be gilded with 20 different toppings (from sweet ‘n’ smoky bacon to asparagus fresco).
To prove it, the stylish little West Palm restaurant, owned by Daniel and Desiree Tobin, has broadened its burger-centric menu by adding a salad bar, made-to-order donuts and an array of new snacks and appetizers.
Beet and blue cheese slaw, mini corndogs, and fried mac ‘n’ cheese are some of the new munchies, while the new salad bar offers diners a choice of romaine lettuce or spring mix to start, then a roster of almost two-dozen garnishes, from bacon and blue cheese to green olives and Parmesan.
Among the six available dressings are balsamic vinaigrette, blue cheese, Caesar and fat-free raspberry. Bulking up your salad with chicken adds $2.99 to the $7.99 salad price, with the addition of shrimp costing an extra $3.99.
