See Spot Brew (Coffee)

Offering a jolt to caffeine addicts and Atlantic Avenue’s already thriving dining scene is Spot Coffee, a tiny coffee cafe that’s set to debut at the corner of Atlantic and Southeast First Avenue sometime in the next few weeks.

The Delray Spot will be the sixth coffee shop-eatery for the Canada-based firm, which indicated it expects to add four more North American outlets by the end of the year. Extensive renovations to the former Masonic Temple will give the cafe an open lounge, bar and table seating, and a large indoor-outdoor patio.

Along with the usual assortment of coffee drinks, made from beans roasted and ground in-house, Spot will offer a variety of sandwiches and wraps, from tuna on focaccia with pepper jack cheese and remoulade to vegetarian hummus wrap. Also look for breakfast dishes like DIY omelets, thin-crust pizzas cooked in a brick oven and a selection of desserts.

Other amenities will include live music and free Wi-Fi, which should, if you’ll pardon the pun, really hit the spot.
