Smokehouse Grille & Wingery has closed its East Boca restaurant in the former Boca Wings & Ribs location on North Federal Highway in preparation for a planned expansion that could include up to three more eateries.
The original Smokehouse, which opened about a year ago, was the first venture of Mark Uffer and Erik Frasco, who installed custom-made smokers and promised authentic American barbecue to cue-challented NoSoFla diners.
The pair recently opened a much larger and better appointed Smokehouse on Yamato Road at State Route 7 in Boca, which will serve as a prototype for Smokehouses to come. Though no firm deals have been announced, the restaurant’s representatives said that locations on PGA Boulevard and in Kendall and Pembroke Pines are currently being considered.
Stay tuned for further details.
