Staff Picks: Champagne Dinner and Contemporary Décor

Chops Lobster Bar

Picked by Gail Eagle, Special Projects Manager

“I recently attended a wine dinner at Chops Lobster Bar featuring Darioush wines paired with yellowtail crudo, tiger shrimp and tilefish with a nectarine emulsion. I can’t wait to go to the next dinner on July 13 for its Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bubble-Q. It’s truly a great deal. The menu will include rabbit porridge en croute, citrus braised veal short ribs and for dessert, white chocolate yogurt cremeux — All paired with a variety of Veuve Clicquot French Champagne.”

Z Gallerie Mizner Park

Picked by Shellie Frai, Editorial Intern

“Call me crazy but one of my favorite things to do on a lazy Sunday is walk through furniture stores and art galleries. Looking at the beautifully designed chairs and meticulously decorated coffee tables allows me to dream of one day getting to decorate my own beautiful house. Thus, roaming around Z Gallerie was a perfect fix. The big store would easily take 30 to 40 minutes for any interior design obsessed person like to me to walk through. The perfectly decorated rooms allow my creative side to run wild. I was amazed by the look of the gorgeous the potted plants, chandeliers and glamorous floor lamps. The store had everything and anything someone could want to create an amazing bathroom or bedroom. Walk all the way to the end of the store and there’s a huge gallery with artwork ranging from artistically drawn Chanel fashion books to whimsical impressionist paintings of lilies. If I could, I would live inside Z Gallerie.”
