Summer Dining Specials to Beat the Heat

Now that summer is here and the snowbirds have returned to the (formerly) frozen tundra, restaurants are rolling out the seasonal specials to keep their most reliable customers (aka, locals) coming back for more. Here are three good ones. . .

At Henry’s (16850 Jog Rd., 561/638-1949) you can now upgrade your entree (from the Daily and Comfort Classics and Simply Grilled menu sections) to a three-course meal by adding soup or salad and dessert, plus a beverage, for an extra $5.95. There are 20/$20 and 10/$10 deals, twenty selected wines for $20 a bottle and 10 lunchtime dishes for $10.

At the remaining local III Forks (4645 PGA Blvd., 561/630-3660) in Palm Beach Gardens they’re offering a three-course dinner for $32.95 per person. You get a choice of one of two salads or broccoli and cheese soup, an entree of Prime tenderloin tips or pan-seared ahi tuna or the day’s fresh catch fish or pork chop with peach barbecue sauce, plus a choice chocolate ganache cake or Texas pecan cake.

At Prime(110 E. Atlantic Ave., 561/865-5845) in Delray the deal is dinner for two for $75 from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday through Friday. Start with either a Caesar salad or the house chopped greenery, then move on to filet mignon, Chilean sea bass, braised short ribs or wood-grilled chicken, and finish with chocolate bread pudding. Oh, and a complementary bottle of wine too.
