Sunfest Kicks Off With ’80s Legends Billy Idol and Living Colour

In true Sunfest fashion, day one of the festival was filled with a tribute to music across genres and decades.

Kicking it back to the ’80s, rockers Living Colour—known for their smash hit “Cult of Personality” in 1988— dominated the Tire Kingdom stage before handing it over to eccentric British rock legend Billy Idol. Also on stage for the evening was rapper Logic, Girl Talk, Sir Sly, Marley Waters, and The O’My’s.

Check out photos from Sunfest day one below, and if you’d like to learn what it takes to put on the four-day festival every year, check out our interview with executive director Paul Jamieson.
