The game usually isn’t much but the parties are killer, and though the contest between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers may not live up to its super billing, the party at Deck 84 (840 E. Atlantic Ave., 561/665-8484) should be a really big hit.
Burt Rapoport’s waterfront Delray Beach restaurant will be the site of a Super Bowl party that looks to be plenty super itself, with a complimentary buffet from chef Chuck Gittleman, the Lady Atlantic tied up at the restaurant’s dock as a floating lounge, and more than 30 past, present and future NFL stars in attendance, including Brandon Flowers of the Kansas City Chiefs, Pierre Garcon of the Indianapolis Colts and 2011 draft picks Ryan Williams and Ahmad Black.
Oh, and you can watch the game too.
The party helps benefit Prep and Sports, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides academic and athletic programs to at-risk youth. It gets under way at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6. Tickets cost $50 in advance, $75 at the door and $150 for floating lounge tickets aboard the Lady Atlantic, and can be acquired athttp://charitysuperbowlparty.org/.
