Sushi By Bou Beach Club Opens in Pompano

Tucked inside the Marriott Residence Inn Pompano Beach sits Sushi By Bou’s newest outpost. It may be an unassuming location when compared to its Miami counterpart that is hosted inside the lavish former Versace Mansion, but its famed omakase experience delivers satisfying sushi in a relaxed, seaside environment.

During the 60-minute omakase dinner, which basically means chef’s choice, you’ll be seated at the 10-person sushi bar where one of the talented chefs will design and create a palate pleasing meal comprised of a variety of different cuts of fish and seafood. You get a front row seat to the sushi-making process: observing as the chef molds the rice, slices the fish, brushes it with homemade soy sauce, and gently places it on your empty plate giving you time to savor every rice kernel. Options during your dinner may include hamachi, scallop topped with charcoal salt, yellowfin tuna, chutoro, uni, Scottish salmon, bluefin tuna and eel.

The space itself is beach chic, bringing the outside in with an earthy color palette, lush green walls and a bar that open up to expansive views of the ocean. Take in the stunning sunset, swaying palms and ocean breeze while you indulge in your 12-course omakase dinner. The restaurant also has additional table seating if you’re craving other a la carte sushi and maki items.
