Rocco’s Tacos is six years old and Rocco Mangel is throwing a party.
Not just a dinky little cake ‘n’ candles party either, but a night-long anniversary bash that on Saturday, Dec. 14, will take over the 200 block of Clematis Street in conjunction with the eighth annual Vanilla Ice Toys for Tots charity event. The Cool One himself will perform, along with Mariachi Pancho Villa and DJs Supreme 1, Jeff Michaels and Adam Lipson. And look for Rocco dancing on the bar, pouring free tequila shots. It all takes place from 5 p.m. ‘til one in the morning.
If you want to feel good in more ways than one, bring a new, unwrapped toy to the party or drop one off at any Rocco’s or at Duffy’s Sports Grill, Lost Weekend and Oli’s Fashion Cuisine. And if you donate a toy while dining at Big City Tavern, City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill, City Oyster and Grease Burger Bar, they’ll toss you a free dessert. (Actually, they’ll place it gently on the table, but you get the idea.)
