Have a Taste of Fall With These Upcoming Drink and Dining Events

Even if we haven’t seen a lot of snowbird license plates, the foodie event calendar is starting to be booked, and that’s wonderful news. Here are some upcoming fun events, so mark ‘em down!

Oktoberfest at Bistro Ten Zero One, 6 breweries, Oct. 19

From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., this restaurant at The Marriott (1001 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach; 561/833-1234), will host one of its well-known outdoor parties. This one turns the garden into a biergarten with German food (bratwurst, sauerkraut, pork shank, schnitzel sliders, spaetzle, pretzels and more) and beer from six local breweries: Tequesta Brewing, Due South, Funky Buddha, Copper Point, Accomplice and Barrel of Monks. Cost is $35 in advance, or $40 at the door. German music should make sure you polka though the night.

Harvest Wine Series, Chanson Restaurant, four nights starting Oct. 18

Featuring select, boutique wineries, these four-course wine dinners will include some interesting pairings. All take place at Chanson’s: 45 NE 21st Ave., Deerfield Beach; 954/857-2929. The winemakers will be at the dinners to discuss their wines, too.

The four events include:

Oct. 18: Sleight of Hand Cellars from Walla Walla, WA; tickets are $100 per person.

Oct. 24: Fontanafredda Wine & Truffles, Serralunga D’Alba Italy; tickets are $150.

Nov. 10: Arietta, Napa Valley; tickets are $150.

Nov. 17: Biggio Hamina, Willamette, OR; tickets are $100.

This night will feature food from CityPlace restaurants, and there are a lot of those with all kinds of food, to keep you noshing for a while. On Oct. 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the cost is $20 in advance or $25 the day of the event.
