The Wait is Over: Camino Real Bridge Opens Tuesday

The Camino Real Bridge in Boca Raton finally is scheduled to open at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Palm Beach County Commissioner Robert Weinroth, who represents Boca Raton, issued the announcement this morning. Construction of the new bridge is a county project. The span will replace what had been the city’s oldest bridge, over the Intracoastal Waterway just east of the Boca Raton Resort & Club.

The bridge was first set to open in April, but the date got pushed to June and then later. The ceremony will take place on the west side of the bridge. Parking will be available at the resort.
