Two New Restaurants and Some Dinner Specials

The Habit Restaurants are opening the fifth Florida Habit Burger Grill in Boca on Dec. 21. Four of those locations are in Palm Beach County, so it appears they’ve found their peeps. Habit Burger is one of the fast-casual chains and prepares made-to-order chargrilled burgers and sandwiches, along with salad selections, too.

Until the full opening, you can wander into the restaurant at 5560 N. Military Trail today (Dec. 16) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., then again from 5 to 7 p.m. and the first 200 folks will receive a free Charburger, fries and regular drink. That should start your weekend off right!

Then on Dec. 18, it’s “Free Habit Day,” same times as above, and on Dec. 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the first 200 customers will receive a free chargrilled meal from one of the preset menus.

New York’s Sant Ambroeus opens in Palm Beach

The first location outside of New York for the Milanese restaurant Sant Ambroeus opens Saturday (Dec. 17) with dinner in Palm Beach’s Royal Poinciana Plaza. The original restaurant opened in Milan in 1936. The New York locations have been open for more than 30 years, and include stops on Madison Avenue, in Southampton, the West Village and SoHo.

Serving dinner only at first, the menu will include dishes from Executive Chef Marco Barbisotti such as King crab salad (pictured), Cotoletta alla Milanese and tagliatelle alla Bolognese, along with Florida-inspired dishes. The cocktails will be seasonal, in the latest trend of mixologists (beverage director and mixologist Alex Berlingeri in this case), and the restaurant offers its signature coffee bar and gelateria. A dessert cart will grace the dining room, with housemade cakes, pies, tiramisu and millefoglie dessert from pastry Chef Guido Mogni. (340 Royal Poinciana Way).

Lunch will start on Dec. 23, and breakfast on Dec. 30.

 

Prosecco Café celebrates 6th year with December specials

Known for its Mediterranean cuisine, Prosecco Café has acquired a loyal following since opening in 2010. To celebrate its anniversary, owner/Chef Avi Sekerel is offering 20 percent off dinner (food only) through December.
