One of the things I hope sticks around after this time is the terrific chance for us to deal directly with those in the food vendor world who are making quality products available to our home kitchens.
Enter Chef Josh Wahler, who has worked in Nobu (Miami, LA and NYC), Milos Miami Beach and as exec chef at Michael Schwartz’s Fi’lia in Miami. He was locked down at home (like the rest of us) with his two young sons, cooking for them every day and realized the access he had to fresh meats, fish and poultry was something others should have, too.
Wahler & Sons was born to take advantage of Chef Josh’s connections to the wholesale vendor world, and he now delivers these products in SoFla, from Miami up through Boynton Beach.
Some products are local swordfish ($21 for approx. 8 oz), wild sashimi grade tuna (approx. 8 oz for $24, bone-in cowboy ribeye ($39 for approx. 20 oz), Australian rack of lamb ($55 for approx. 32 oz), kosher truffle honey ($52 for 8.8 oz jar), and much more. Also offered are spice and rub mixes and Chef Josh’s homemade Spicy BBQ sauce ($21 for 12 oz jar). Sampler boxes are $150 with different topics (seafood, surf and turf, etc.).
Order on the website by 11 p.m. on Tuesdays for delivery that Friday. For Palm Beach County, there’s a $150 minimum for free delivery up through Boynton Beach. If the minimum isn’t met, there’s a $20 delivery charge. All deliveries are fresh (not frozen), vacuum sealed and individually wrapped in boxes with ice packs. Oh, and there’s a 15 percent discount for first-time orders. https://wahlerandsons.com/
