May is Mental Health Awareness month and on Monday, May 23, YouFit in West Boca is celebrating by hosting a free community yoga class.
The 60-minute class will be led by yoga maven Brie Mazin and consist of gentle movement, breath work, and guided relaxation to support increased awareness, strengthen muscles and soothe the nervous system. The class is open to both beginners and veteran practitioners alike and guests are not required to have a YouFit gym membership.
Practicing yoga has many scientifically-backed benefits including improving flexibility, relieving stress, boosting immunity, reducing anxiety and increasing heart health, and practicing yoga in a free class has those same benefits plus the added health bonus of not hurting your wallet.
