Where To Celebrate Cinco de Mayo 2021 In and Around Boca Raton

The Mexican holiday that we all love to celebrate has nearly arrived. We’ve compiled a list of a few festive spots to check out and are also giving you a cocktail recipe to try at home.

Batch Gastropub: Delray

The restaurant is serving up $5 pineapple & jalapeño-infused tequila cocktails all day. Pair your drink with an order of wings, a short rib flatbread or a lobster roll.

Lona Cocina & Tequileria

Enjoy the expansive ocean views while you sip on one of the Cinco de Mayo seasonal cocktails, like the Cool as a Cucumber with tequila, lime juice, passion fruit puree and muddled cucumbers. If you go with friends, the drinks are also available in a pitcher. At 6 p.m. a mariachi band will serenade you while you savor your Mexican feast.

Duffy’s Sports Grill

At this sports bar, the celebrations start on May 1 and run through Wednesday. There will be plenty of drink specials like $5 El Jimador margaritas and $11 firecracker shrimp tacos. Also look out for $3.50 Modelo Especial drafts and specially priced Corona buckets.

Deck 84 

Head over to this Atlantic Ave. staple for a selection of special Cinco de Mayo dishes including a chipotle pulled pork quesadilla and a Mexican pizza with chorizo fondue.

Viva La Playa

The all-day festivities will be extra special at this inaugural celebration with live music, complimentary tequila tastings and beer samples.

Rocco’s Tacos 

The Mexican merriment starts on May 1 with daily specials. Monday is “Mezcal Mondays” with 50% off mezcal margaritas, shots and flights. On Tuesday, May 4 celebrate taco Tuesday with all you can eat tacos for $18.99 and $16 margarita pitchers. For the big day, you can look forward to all the classic dishes from tableside guacamole to the brisket nachos. 

If you’re celebrating at home, shake up Cinco de Mayo with this Rocco’s Tacos smoky mule cocktail.

Rocco’s Tacos Smoky Mule Recipe


  • 2 oz Mezcal Amaras Espadin Joven
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • Top with Q ginger beer
  • 1 dehydrated lime wheel


Build mule in copper mug by adding all ingredients, top with ginger beer, stir and garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel.
