Wyland Living Green Fair Coming to Boca

Greenies, foodies and even kiddies will have something to sink their teeth into (literally) at the Wyland Living Green Fair, set to go off Saturday (11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) and Sunday (noon to 5 p.m.), Nov. 5 and 6 at Mizner Park.

The health and ecologically conscious festival, the brainchild of marine artist Robert Wyland (who like Cher and Oprah goes by only one name), is intended to raise awareness about living “green,” and will feature a variety of programs, exhibits and entertainment options.

Local chefs Joey Giannuzzi (Green Gourmet), Wilson Wieggel (DIG), Chris Miracolo (Max’s Harvest) and others will hold easy, organic cooking demos, while Wyland’s own award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon will be featured in the festival’s Beer and Wine Garden. There will also be a Sunday morning jazz brunch and Saturday night concert to benefit breast cancer research.

Other activities include a roster of live bands, fashion show highlighting recycled materials, gardening displays, a “yogathon,” advice on fitness and green living, fitness competitions and an art contest for kids. To get tickets (a day pass is $10 for adults and $5 for children) and details, go to the fair website:
