In an exuberant return to a live events this season, the 34th Annual Woman Volunteer of the Year luncheon by The Junior League of Boca Raton took place Friday, with all the fanfare and community spirit that always defines this event. This year there were 22 nominees, and the winner was Debralyn Belletieri representing the American Association of Caregiving Youth.
Belletieri has volunteered with the organization for the past nine years, hosting many fundraisers, game nights and scores of other events. She also serves as a mentor for the group and a hands-on volunteer for everything from transportation and sleepovers to bowling parties (her family owns Strikes Bowling Alley). Her other volunteer work includes roles as Cub Scout leader, Volunteer Coordinator for Calusa Elementary School, Treasurer for the Twins Club of Palm Beach, PTA president and Fine Arts department president at North Broward Preparatory school, coordinator for the Boca Helping Hands Bowl-A-Thon event and coordinating several golf tournaments. Other achievements include chaperoning 72 high school students throughout Europe for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Belletieri was honored for her service by Mark Larkin, President, Boca Raton Hospital Foundation, Kathy Shilling, Medical Director, Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute, event co-chairs Kari Oeltjen and Clara Smith, Honorary Chair Holli Rockwell Trubinsky and more than 500 cheering guests.

The luncheon, emceed by Paige Kornblue and Steve Weagle, also featured a fashion show hosted by Saks Fifth Avenue featuring the L’Agence brand. Boca magazine was a proud sponsor of this event.
