In our March issue, we shared some of our favorite local beers from throughout the Sunshine State. We could never forget the great breweries that are based right here in Boca, so here are some can’t-miss spots to grab a beer without leaving town.
Barrel of Monks
Barrel of Monks has everything that a beer-lover could hope for in a local brewery. Its tasting room in Boca offers an impressive slate of signature Belgian beers, some of which are only available temporarily while other favorites remain on tap year round. You can also enjoy a tour of the brewery to see the brewing process in action.

Crazy Uncle Mike’s
Perhaps Boca’s biggest brewery in terms of sheer square footage, Crazy Uncle Mike’s is known for its music-inspired beers and cocktails, massive bar and restaurant, and impressive performance stage that hosts a stacked lineup of local bands.

Mad Robot Brewery
Don’t let the many name changes for this Boca Brewery fool you– the quality of these microbrews is still top-notch. Mad Robot, which used to be “Funky Buddah” and then “Robot Brewery” before adopting its current moniker, has a menu that features rotating taps of microbrews along with guest beers from other local breweries. As an added bonus, the intimate venue on Federal Highway hosts local artists and performers each night of the week, including open-mic nights and performances by great local bands.
