Bumblefest To Bring Surfer Blood, Unwed Sailor and More to West Palm Beach This Friday

For ten years(!) Purehoney Magazine has been keeping us in the loop with South Florida’s local music scene, and this Friday it will celebrate its anniversary with the 5th iteration of Bumblefest, a one-day music festival that will take over the 500 block of West Palm Beach’s Clematis Street with acts from SoFla and beyond.

The top of the lineup features West Palm Beach indie-rock heroes Surfer Blood, Tulsa-based post-rocker Unwed Sailor, Lakeland dream pop band Spirit & the Cosmic Heart, and Gainesville-based indie act Room Thirteen.

The rest of the lineup is filled in by eclectic indie acts including American Sigh, Beautiful Disaster, Ben Katzman’s Degreaser, Cog Nomen, Death by Holiday, The Dewars, The Dreambows, Glass Body, Jakob Takos & the Connection, Jezgajams, Mouthtape, Nervous Monks, Soul Particles and Stucco.

Participating venues include Respectable Street, Subculture Alley, O’Shea’s, Alchemy Juice Co., and BRK Bar, all of which are also acting as sponsors alongside the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority.

A 5 p.m. happy hour precedes the start of the musical action 6 p.m., and the revelry is set to continue late into the night, with Surfer Blood’s headlining set slated to begin at 12:15 a.m. Find the full schedule below.
