Prepare for a Wave of New Restaurants in Mizner Park

When it rains—well, it pours here in Boca at the same time every day.

Also experiencing a rainfall of a kind—the promise of new tenants—is Mizner Park. Here are a few restaurants that have announced they’re coming, which gives us all hope.

Calaveras Cantina

This Mexican restaurant will open in early 2020 where Junior’s Restaurant was in Mizner Park. The other location is in Jupiter. Boca’s spot will have Chef Angelo Arboleda in the kitchen and Armando Conway overseeing the bar program.

The Blue Fish

This Japanese restaurant group has numerous venues in Texas, and has just expanded to Breckenridge, Colo., along with announcing a Mizner Park location to open at the end of 2019. This will go where Rack’s was located.

Lost Weekend

This hip gathering place with locations in West Palm Beach (on Clematis) and Miami’s South Beach should arrive where the Cheese Course shop used to be.

Strike 10 Bowling

Not an eatery, but it will have food. Strike 10 Bowling Alley is moving into Uncle Julio’s spot with full lanes and a few mini lanes. The Strike 10 Bowling location at Gulfstream Park offers a hookah lounge, billiards, a sports bar and more. We hope there’s a longer lane life than Revolutions Bowling Alley in Rosemary Square (formerly CityPlace) that closed earlier this year after opening in 2013.
