After two years in in Mizner Park, the Greek-inspired Ouzo Bay is leaving Boca Raton and heading south, according to Atlas Restaurant Group.
The restaurant will be opening in Miami instead, according to a spokesman, and the Baltimore-based company will instead be “focusing its efforts on the growth and success of Loch Bar in Boca Raton.”
Loch Bar, known for its seafood and whiskey selection, opened in November 2018.
“We would like to thank the local community for the incredible support we’ve received over the last few years,” says Alex Smith, Atlas Restaurant Group president and founder.
“Though we are closing this location of Ouzo Bay, we will be staying in South Florida and are actively working to bring this restaurant to Miami. In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming our loyal South Florida customers to Loch Bar, and announcing a new Florida location for Ouzo Bay in the near future.”
While there has been an exodus of restaurants from Mizner Park—including Rack’s, Junior’s, Uncle Julio’s and Truluck’s—more restaurants and a bowling alley have plans to move into the shopping center in late 2019, early 2020.
