Rapoport Restaurant Group Offers Meal Kits

Here’s another company joining the option list during a rough time for everyone. Rapoport Restaurant Group will soon offer a meal kit program, where you pick up all the ingredients and take them home to cook. Easy instructions are included, on a recipe card with photos.

The meal kit menu will change each week, and there are six different dishes included, with at least one vegetarian option and one sandwich option. Order by Monday each week for pickup or delivery that Thursday.

The first orders are due this coming Monday, Aug. 31st, for pickup on Sept. 3. Your choice, as this program starts, are: roasted vegetable curry, Max’s radiator pasta, pork tenderloin with fontina mashed potatoes, chicken Paillard, baked ziti with mealballs and Korean fried chicken sandwich. Cost for the kits, which feed two to three people, range from $24 to $40.

Pickup will be at Deck 84, 840 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach;

A la carte

  • Pumpkin spice latte is already in Starbucks. It’s not even September yet, and heat waves are keeping us on ice cubes. Wow.
  • The pandemic has put off many planned new venue openings, including the Lionfish in Delray Beach, which is now planning to open Sept. 21 for dinner and brunch. It’s at 307 Atlantic Avenue, on the east side of Johnnie Brown’s.
