Soon, you won’t have to drive all the way to Orlando to experience the world of Harry Potter.
Town Center at Boca Raton and more than 200 other Simon malls across the country are participating in “Harry Potter: Wizards Unite,” bringing the magical universe of wizards, spells and dementors to our very own muggle world.
Not unlike “Pokemon Go,” players on the mall premises will use their cell phones to be transported to Hogwarts using augmented reality to take on challenges. Using “wands” and spells, players battle enemies and gain points, spell energy, and rewards at various Inns and Fortresses.
The game will take players throughout the shopping mall, including stores and dining venues, as well as outside. A select few Simon malls will be hosting real-life events as well.
The interactive game comes at an exciting time at Town Center—the mall recently completed a multi-million-dollar renovation, as well as announcing that an indoor playground will soon be coming.
We’re anxiously waiting to find out when we can tap into our inner wizards—stayed tuned for a start time. Meanwhile, visit harrypotterwizardsunite.com for details.
