Break out the lederhosen for the American German Club of the Palm Beaches’ annual Oktoberfest celebration, returning for the next two weekends.
Now in its 52nd year, this local Oktoberfest celebration highlights some of our favorite German cultural exports, from bratwurst and beer to Bavarian music and dance. Look forward to live music from King Guys Oktoberfest Brass Band and Froschhaxn Express (here from Germany), authentic German fare, German folk dancing, stein-holding contests, the Parade of Flags, and more.
The festival kicks off at the American German Club this Friday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m., then 2 p.m. and noon on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Festivities resume the same times next weekend. Parking is available at the club and Buttonwood Park for $20 per vehicle. Free parking and complimentary shuttle service are available from Diamond View Elementary and Tradewinds Middle School.
