Spooky season has officially arrived and depending on your level of dedication to fall in Florida, there are some pretty great family events happening around the state this month. While Palm Beach and Broward counties definitely know how to do Halloween, I’ve found that some of the best autumn events (and your best shot at wearing a shirt or sweater with long sleeves) are a little farther north in Central Florida.

When my daughter was little, we attended Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party a couple of times and I definitely frequented Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios pre-children. So when we were invited to experience LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s annual Brick or Treat event in Winter Haven, I thought…why not? I have a 9 year-old nephew who is currently LEGO-obsessed and a 13 year-old daughter who loves her cousin just enough to drop her teen attitude for the day and play along.

Not to mention, they both love candy.

Brick or Treat

A haunted house on Brick or Treat Street

Brick or Treat, held on select dates through Nov. 1, is a LEGOLAND-wide Halloween celebration geared primarily toward kids ages 2-12. We all know how challenging it can be to get into the fall spirit when you’re under the scorching Florida sun (and rain) this time of year, so LEGOLAND smartly opened a new indoor attraction for their guests: Brick or Treat Street.

Once you reserve a time slot for your family on the LEGOLAND app, you’ll be escorted through an immersive LEGO Halloween neighborhood, knocking on the doors of six seriously fun LEGO Monster homes, including the Wacky Witch’s Cottage, Spider Lady’s Castle, and Plant Monster’s Greenhouse. Each stop has its own little surprise (spoiler alert: there are a few tricks involved!), plus candy and LEGO bricks to collect along the way. The best part? All guests are invited to help build a giant Halloween mural together at the end.

Before exiting, don’t miss your chance for a photo op with one of the LEGO Minifigure Monsters.

Seasonal Bites & Sips

Monster Loaded Fries

If you don’t think you snagged enough candy on Brick or Treat Street, there are six additional trick-or-treat stations located throughout the park (they open at 2 p.m.) and you can definitely visit more than once. No need to bring your own bag, either. LEGOLAND gives each attendee as many as you need because they fill up quickly!

There’s also a wide variety of seasonal treats and beverages available for purchase during the festivities. I am still dreaming about the Monster Loaded Fries served in a souvenir LEGO Zombie Minifigure head (pulled pork, melted cheddar cheese, and black garlic aioli) and the frozen Spider Slush (a chilling blood orange lemonade with boba pearls and a gummy spider). It wasn’t too sweet, so I really enjoyed it!

For dessert, we tried the Broomstick Berry Shake (a blueberry cheesecake lover’s dream), but we ran short on time and missed our chance to order the Pumpkin Pie Apple Fries, also served in a souvenir LEGO Minifigure head. I still have major regrets. They looked absolutely delicious.

Halloween-themed Attractions

LEGO Miniland USA

In between stuffing our faces with candy and seasonal treats, we took advantage of all of the rides that get a Halloween makeover during Brick or Treat. From the new Halloween-themed LEGO spacecraft you can build and ride on at the Galacticoaster to The Dragon: Roarsome Halloween Adventure, where we braved LEGO ghosts, toxic spiders, and radioactive bats trying to take over the castle, there’s a spooky twist practically around every corner. Halloween really takes over LEGOLAND Florida, and with so much happening, it’s pretty much impossible to do it all in one day.

Monster Skytacular Drone Show

Monster Skytacular Drone Show

Since we experienced Brick or Treat on a Saturday, we had the opportunity to see LEGOLAND Florida’s award-winning Halloween drone show, Monster Skytacular! The show takes place over the lake at Pirate Cove Stadium, so if you’re not splurging on VIP Seating for your family, I’d recommend getting there at least 45 minutes early to snag a good spot. (Trust me, you’ll want a clear view for this one.)

Between the bone-chilling beats and iconic LEGO and Halloween figures formed and lit up by the moving drones, it was a fantastic way to end the night.

Join the 2026 LEGOLAND Florida Halloween fun on:

  • October: 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31
  • November: 1
  • Monster Skytacular Drone Show: Oct. 10, 17, 24, 31; only at 8 p.m.
