Fiery Fall Fashion

A handful of South Florida’s finest young heroes helped showcase fall fashion trends in Bloomingdale’s on Wednesday night.

The “Fashion for Firemen” event was held on the first floor of the Town Centerdepartment store, in the men’s area.

Guests were treated to music, cocktails, appetizers and entertainment.

Ten percent of tracked sales of the evening went toward the G.W. Bailey First Responders Charitable Fund, an organization created in memory of George William Bailey.

Bailey was a firefighter and EMT. He was killed by a drunk driver in 2003.

The charity helps provide equipment and educational materials to paramedics, fire fighters, and other first responders attending training programs offered throughout South Florida.

Holly Barba, president, founder and older sister of Bailey, spoke before the fashion show about her brother and the organization.

Afterward, nine fire fighters in training modeled (sometimes shyly) looks for the crowd. Their fall forward looks included pieces from Ralph Lauren, Volcom, Hugo Boss, Theory and Burberry.
