National French Fry Day This Weekend, and PB Summer Beer Fest Back July 20

National French Fry Day brings finger-licking specials

On July 13, it’s National French Fry Day, and these two spots are celebrating that:

  • Boca Raton BurgerFi: Mention the special to buy $1 regular hand-cut fries all day, in-store only. 6919 SW 18th St., Boca Raton; 561/757-3181;
  • Bird In The Hand at Whole Foods: A new menu item, 20-spice fries, will be introduced for National French Fry Day, and is free all day, no purchase required. If you do order a meal with fries, you will receive an upgrade to either the 20-spice fries or the truffle fries. PB Outlet Mall, 1845 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd., West Palm Beach;

On July 20 at the South Florida Fairgrounds, you can gather for a taste of many craft beers, enjoy some eating and music and pretend it’s the middle of our season. Who says SoFla isn’t any fun during the summer?

Breweries include: Funky Buddha, Cigar City Brewing, Founders Brewing, Barrel of Monks Brewing, Wynwood Brewing, Due South, Twisted Trunk, Florida Keys Brewing, Oskar Blues Brewery, Ballast Point Brewing, TBC brewing, Boca Raton Prosperity Brewing, South Beach Brewing, Nobo Brewing and many more. There will be liquor, wine, water and soda, too. You will not go thirsty.

Also enjoy the craft donut tasting and craft ice cream tasting. Sounds like a great eating trifecta to me! Live music includes Austin Burke onstage, and a bunch of excellent SoFla food trucks to help soak up the suds.

Buy tickets online for an advanced price until July 15, then the price goes up. General admission: $45; advance VIP: $75; designated drivers: $10.
