Part wine shop, part wine bar, Preface Wine has officially opened its doors in Delray Beach’s Pineapple Grove neighborhood.
Founder Jonathan Frutkin brings the encyclopedic wine knowledge that garnered him a sizable Instagram following to a brick-and-mortar location whose shelves and displays slide out to cozy nooks from which to sample wines and charcuterie plates.
Preface aims to make wine tasting a more personalized, less daunting experience, with scannable labels that can give you all the information about an interesting bottle before you make a purchase. Wines can be taken home or opened in-store and enjoyed when the shop transforms into a wine bar at 4 p.m. If you find a bottle you like, JJ, Preface’s proprietary technology, will remember your preferences and even make selections for your next visit.
In addition to its store and bar, Preface will host exclusive themed tastings at its Owner’s Table, and offers tiered memberships that grant early access to events, curated bottle selections ranging from approachable to premium, wine education sessions, and more.
Stop in this weekend as the store celebrates its grand opening. Each guest will be greeted with a complimentary sample of Champagne before they peruse Preface’s wide selection of vintages.
