A few months ago, two local restaurants hired three new robots to help greet and serve guests. Urban Belly, the family-owned restaurant group, has been using robots at two of its concepts: Eat District and The Sea. The new, automated greeters have been such a hit that Urban Belly has decided to order 11 more to use at its Lemongrass Asian Bistro and Ganzo Sushi locations. The BellaBot, designed by Pudu Robotics, is helping offset labor shortages without sacrificing service with its capability to greet guests, carry food and bus tables.
Eat District, located in Boca Raton, is where you can create your own fast-casual healthy Asian bowl and Sea Asian Kitchen in Delray serves up Southeast Asian cuisine including sushi, dumplings and noodles. Lemongrass has three locations in the area and it’s where you can find handcrafted dumplings alongside plenty of rolls and sashimi. Ganzo, in the west Delray Marketplace, is serving up shareable plates and ramen.
