In the spirit of the former TV show, two local chefs will go head-to-head in a fierce live cooking competition once a month through March. Last night, Rose’s Daughter hosted the debut and it was sizzling. Chef So of Eathai and Chef Gary of Farmhouse Kitchen battled it out in the open kitchen while attendees watched, cheered and sipped on cocktails.
The chefs only find out who their competition is upon arrival and are then given specific ingredients that they must use in their three dishes. After one hour, they are judged by three industry judges to proclaim the winner of the evening. Chef Gary won last night.
The monthly knife fights will raise money for EJS Project, a local charity that works to empower children.
Catch the next thrilling competition on Nov. 9. Tickets are $25 and include a welcome cocktail and light bites. Additional drinks and pizza are available for purchase.
Tickets are on sale now. Capacity is limited, and these events will sell out.
