Sardinia Enoteca Hosts a Summer Special, Soft Opening for Union Twenty-Seven (UPDATED)

There are bits of the summer—besides the heat—that stick around after September like the last grains of sand when you walk off the beach. One of those will be Sardinia Enoteca’s Italian Summer Social on Oct. 4 in Delray Beach.

You’ll need to buy a ticket before you show up, because no tickets will be on sale at the door. But those tickets (Early Bird is $5 while they last, advance is $10, late is $15) do entitle you to some free pizza bites and special drinks. The Aperitivo cocktails will be $6 each, from 6 to 8 p.m. This is a private event.

Union Twenty-Seven has soft opening

Chef George Patti (Photo by Eduardo Schneider)

Chef George Patti of M.E.A.T. Eatery & Taproom in Boca Raton announced a while back that he was working on a new Boca venue, too, in the same spot where 13 American Table had been. That would be Union Twenty-Seven, 451 E. Palmetto Park Road, and we hear there’s a soft opening going on later this week. We also hear the couple who ran Delray’s Osteria Salina (it’s closed now), Tim and Chef Cinzia Gaglio, will be on deck. But the biggest news is that this is  positioned as a “members-only” or “members preferred” place—so you have to join. Will you need to be vetted? Who knows. How very Boca…

According to the Facebook page, hours will be Sunday to Thursday from 3 to 11 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.; 561/338-8606.
