Garrett Jacobs, Shelly Maschler, and Marshall Jacobs
The Gardens of Boca Raton Cemetery & Funeral Home
This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Garrett Jacobs and Shelly Maschler’s stewardship of The Gardens of Boca Raton Cemetery & Funeral Home—a decade shaped not only by growth, but by trust, service, and the privilege of walking alongside Palm Beach County families during some of life’s most meaningful moments.
Garrett Jacobs, CEO and funeral director, is a 1994 graduate of the mortuary science program at Lynn University and has served families at The Gardens since the property’s earliest years. Shelly Maschler and his family have spent more than three decades living, working, and investing in the Boca Raton community, bringing deep local roots and a shared commitment to compassionate service.
In 2016, when the property was acquired and the funeral home was added to the cemetery campus, Garrett brought his brother, Marshall Jacobs, on board as chief of operations. Together, they helped shape a vision for The Gardens as more than a cemetery or funeral home, but as a complete, family-owned memorial campus where funeral arrangements, services, and permanent memorialization could all take place in one setting.
Ten years later, that vision has become something even more meaningful. The Gardens has grown into a place where generations of families return not only to honor loved ones, but to preserve stories, reflect on legacies, and remain connected to the people who shaped their lives. In the end, the greatest accomplishment of the past decade is not found in the buildings, but in the lasting relationships formed with the community they are honored to serve.
