The Amazing Two-month Miami Spice Starts Aug. 1

Japanese Amberjack dish at Habitat Miami Beach

In its 17th year, Miami Spice starts up again on Aug. 1, offering two months of prix-fixe lunch/brunches for $23 per person and dinners for $39 per person. Prices include appetizer, entrée and dessert; alcohol, tax, tip and service charges are excluded.

If you haven’t taken a trip to Miami for a meal, now’s the time to do it. No, it’s not that far away, and yes, it’s totally worth it. And now we have Brightline, which makes getting there and back home a lot easier.

For instance, the Habitat Miami Beach venue, where Chef Jose Mendin creates the Japanese Amberjack dish (pictured above), will have Miami Spice prix-fixe meals for lunch Monday-Saturday and dinner Monday-Thursday and Sunday.

There are hundreds of restaurants participating in all the great Miami-Dade eating areas: Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Doral, downtown Miami, South Miami, Sunny Isles and Wynwood.

Be sure to make a reservation, because all the locals know this is a great time to eat out, so you’ll see them there, too.

Here’s the list of restaurants and the days to visit. More restaurants can sign up through the end of August. Find some new favorites and discover a wonderful part of South Florida.
