They run law firms, preside over banks and speak for national organizations. They sponsor events and distribute charitable dollars. They guide, mentor and share. They’re leaders not only in their industries but also in the community.

Successful Women are in Boca Raton

Over the years, women have made significant strides in the business world.

Today, many of the most successful national and international corporations have women at the helm or in top management positions. Countless others are working their way through the ranks, starting their own businesses or just entering the workforce.

In order for women business leaders to gain the proper support, insight and education, the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce’s (GBRCC) created the Successful Women in Business (SWIB) program.

SWIB provides women with a platform to connect with other like-minded women, hear from dynamic speakers, and gain access to valuable tools and information to help them succeed in business.

Since its inception in January 2003, this program has proven to be incredibly successful with more than 100 women attending the monthly luncheons.

“Successful Women in Business is just one of our extremely successful programs,” says Kate Volman, Vice President of Business Development at the GBRCC. “We are thrilled to provide women with the opportunity to come together in a vibrant and positive atmosphere each month and walk away with amazing new tools and resources to help them be more successful.

“The women involved are inspiring, energetic and absolutely fabulous professionals, and we are lucky to have them as part of our community.”

With topics ranging from tax preparation to organization and the need for enhanced etiquette in the workplace, each luncheon’s presentation is followed by an in-depth question-and-answer session to maximize the benefits for the attendees.

In addition, women members of the GBRCC may enjoy the monthly Smart Talk for Women events. The small group dynamic cultivates an atmosphere where women feel free to share their business challenges and work with other women business leaders to mastermind creative ideas in order to effectively build their business. With a professional facilitator from the Florida Women’s Business Center running each meeting, participants walk away inspired, empowered and full of new tools and resources.

“The Boca Chamber has helped me to meet and build valuable friendships with other successful business people,” said Debra Elderkin, President of Royal Delgoti. “My favorite things about the Chamber are the wonderful events they make available, like Smart Talk for Women and Successful Women in Business. Boca is filled with amazing business opportunities and the Boca Chamber brings it all together for us.”
