Year’s First PBC Baby Born at Boca Raton Regional

Congratulations to Marc and Hillary Krawatsky of Boynton Beach, who welcomed their fourth child into the world at 12:28 a.m. on New Year’s Day. The Kawatsky’s daughter, Pearl, was delivered at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, becoming the first Palm Beach County baby born in 2011. Pearl, who weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces, joins three brothers at home, ages 8, 6 and 2.

“We thank the wonderful staff [at Boca Regional] and Dr. Terrence Harris who were all so great to us,” says Marc Krawatsky. “Having a little girl after three boys is a wonderful gift to us. A father has no excuse in ever forgetting the date of her birthday.”

“The staff is excited to have been part of the birth of the county’s first baby of 2011,” says Karen Edlington, Director of Labor and Delivery at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. “We are delighted to join in the family’s celebration on the birth of their new baby girl.”
