It was a boot-stomping, bling-filled evening of country-themed fun on March 2 at the Rhinestone Cowboy Ball Boots & Bling event benefiting the George Snow Scholarship Fund. The organization honored the Junior League of Boca Raton and Bonnie Halperin with the Fund’s prestigious Community Service Awards. George Snow Scholar Etzer Kenta Botes—who was raised in Belle Glade and went on to Harvard—delivered an impactful speech to the hundreds of supporters in attendance.
Mindful Boca 2024
Best-selling author Elizabeth Gilbert served as keynote speaker for Mindful Boca 2024, the Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life Wellness Series at Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s Lynn Women’s Institute. A great crowd pounded the pavement and came together as one for the 13th Annual Run for the Ribbons on Feb. 4 at the Lynn Cancer Institute. The 5K event benefits the League of Ribbons and patient enhancement programs at Lynn Cancer Institute. Cancer survivors and their family members also had the opportunity to paint new tiles that will soon be added to the Lynn Cancer Institute wall displays located throughout the building on the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Baptist Health South Florida campus.
