Surprise news of the week: Executive Chef Mark Militello has left the newly opened Prezzo in Boca Raton. He was one of the biggest attractions at the new restaurant when it opened in late December 2017.
No word yet about what James Beard-award winning Militello is going to do, but he has a long history with South Florida (being one of the original “Mango Gang” creators of Floridian cuisine), so we hope he’ll be doing it within driving distance. In the past, he’s opened a number of his own restaurants, and worked as a consultant to area chefs. Stay tuned.
Taking over the Prezzo kitchen will be Executive Chef Patrick Broadhead, who also oversees the Burt & Max’s kitchen.
Lynn Kalber was raised in Boca Raton and has always worked in Palm Beach and Broward counties.
