(Once you get caught up in all the action, you also learn that behind the scenes there are politics and turf wars and a lot of other nonsense common to small towns and cities everywhere—but way beneath what I think should be business as usual in Delray Beach. The Delray vibe is so much better than that; it deserves a common and united spirit of community building. Just my two cents.)
I am a fan of all of the people who work so hard to make this city a great place to live and work and do business—in fact, I am so proud that we have Delray Beach magazine—it could not have been launched at a better time.
Tonight we’ll be at the Delray Marketing Cooperative’s viewing party at Boston’s watching Delray showcased on the Travel Channel, followed by fireworks. And Saturday we’ll be on the Avenue shopping! Make a note: This Saturday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Downtown Delray Beach tells us that anyone who spends at least $100 at any of our shops, galleries or spas will get a gift from downtown restaurants and cafes…hmmm…. we can spend $100 just thinking about shoes, for starters.
So we will see you out and about—and here’s a thumbs up to everyone who has worked so hard to make Delray Beach the most fun town in America—for all of us, all year around.
