There are two upcoming events that foodies will want to experience. Depending on how you feel, venture out to support Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, the beneficiary of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Wine & Food Festival or simply relax on your couch with Dan Marino as he hosts a virtual wine tasting event in support of his namesake foundation.
Greater Fort Lauderdale Wine & Food Festival
The foodie festivities return this year on March 15-21, but with a few revisions. With safety precautions as the top priority, the large-scale events will not return, but instead will be replaced with smaller, more intimate dinners and tastings.
The festival kicks off with My Heritage by Chef Rino Cerbone hosted at Heritage in Flagler Village. The five-course pairing dinner will take you on a personal journey through the chef’s life. The following evening Sardelli Italian Steakhouse will host Hip Hop Beats & Wagyu Beef, a five-course Italian feast paired with Wagyu beef and plenty of hip hop beats. On March 17, Cocktail Confidential: A Spirited Affair will take place at the trendy Sistrunk Marketplace where you’ll be able to sip on cocktails made with Shady Distillery’s spirits. Return to the Marketplace on the 18th for a five-course dinner hosted by the distillery. For veggie lovers, Chef Paula DaSilva and Chef Josie Smith-Malave will host Veg Out, a plant-based, four-course, wine-paired dinner at the Atlantic Hotel & Spa.

Dan Marino & Damon Huard Host Virtual Wine Tasting
Welcome Marino and Huard into your home for this virtual wine tasting on March 18. You’ll be able to meet and greet the former NFL quarterbacks right from your living room as you sip on Passing Time wines. Choose from either a trio or duo wine package that will be delivered to your home prior to the event. Passing Time winemaker Chris Peterson and local wine guru Andrew Lampasone of Wine Watch will join Marino and Huard that evening to guide you through your wine journey. Reservations must be made by March 11.
