Today’s weather forecast: Rainy with a chance of fashion.

Summer in South Florida means rain—and lots of it. But that’s no excuse for local fashionistas to throw on sweats and call it an ensemble. Even though you’re trying to stay dry under that umbrella, it’s also possible to be stylish.

Beat the June gloom with a little clothing and accessory help from Neiman Marcus. Lauren Johnson, public relations manager at the anchor store inside Town Center at Boca Raton (5860 Glades Road, 561/417-5151;neimanmarcus.com), weighs in on rainy-day fashion for the discerning shopper.

1) Aside from boots, what other footwear is trendy for a rainy day in Boca?
Rain or shine, the Manolo Blahnik BB (black patent pump, $595) is always the shoe to wear … Every woman will be wearing this shoe in fall.

2) How can you be fashionable and accessorize in the rain?
Designers give many options when it comes to accessories; for example, Hunter boots are in fashion indoors or out.

3) Should you try to match or mix up the patterns and prints from your trendy umbrella?
We love mixing shades of purple and red. By the way, red is the new neutral.

4) Any stay-dry tricks? Like quick dry materials or fabrics?
Weather jackets from Moncler (quilted jacket in black, $1,050) always are a great option to look great and stay dry.
